Downtown San Antonio condos and apartments are booming as many choose an urban lifestyle. The recent fluctuation in the real estate market and increased gas prices have influenced many to move closer in to cities. San Antonio, one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas, has responded by improving and renovating the downtown areas with projects like downtown san antonio condos. The popularity of city living is due to close proximity to work, shopping, and entertainment. Retirees looking for amenities close to home, young couples looking for an easy transit from work, and anyone who enjoys the varied and convenient lifestyle available to urban dwellers are investing in San Antonio condominiums. Condos are privately owned homes within a building or complex which is jointly owned by the COA (condo owners association). This is a great arrangement providing for and sharing the repair costs for the conodos. Condominiums often offer other amenities as well, such as pools, gyms, and playgrounds. A new trend in San Antonio condos is high-rise condominiums. These provide a hotel-like lifestyle with room service, concierge service, and in-house spas.

San Antonio has a long and exciting history. San Antonio is now the second largest city in Texas but it began in 1724 as Mission San Antonio de Valero. The mission would later become the Alamo, San Antonio’s most famous landmark. San Antonio, as a part of Texas, became part of the United Staes in 1845 and has continued its steady growth. Today, the Alamo is located in the heart of downtown. Due to good urban planning, today the city has a cosmopolitan downtown area with several museums, lots of galleries, extensive shopping and great dining. San Antonio has a strong job market with four large military bases and several major industries making their home there. Comine that with a low cost of living and warm climate, and you’ll see why its such a popular place to live.

San Antonio also boasts lots of parks and cool gardens like the River Walk area which are all getting plenty of attention from an extensive ecosystem restoration project. The River Walk was first built in 1938 as flood control for the San Antonio River. Expected to be finished by 2014, there’s a new project to extend the original two mile walk an additional eleven miles. The River Walk is now an incredible haven in the center of the bustling city. It is one story below street level which minimizes street noise. Lush and beautiful landscaping adds a lot. Parts of the walk are lined with restaurants, galleries and shops, but there are also secluded stretches ideal for contemplation and relaxation. It is serviced by a shuttle boat, tour boats, and diner cruises. River Walk is easy accessed in downtown and is within walking distance from many San Antonio condos.

San Antonio condominiums are close to a large variety of entertainment and recreation. HemisFair park, located in downtown, was built to host the 1968 World’s Fair and includes the 750 foot tall Tower of Americas. Also in the park, there are the Magik Theater, Mexican Cultural Institute, and UTSA’s Institute of Texan Cultures. Everyone loves to visit Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Sea World San Antonio theme parks, and Schiltterbahn and Splash Town are two incredible nearby waterparks. San Antonio also happens to be the home of our nation’s first them park, Kiddie Park. The city caters to sports enthusiasts with San Antonio Spurs game. There is also the annual Valero Alamo Bowl. It is only a short drive into the Texas Hill Country, on the north side of San Antonio, to outdoor recreational areas. Government Canyon State Natural Area is one of the many parks around that provide plenty of hiking trails. When it warms up for summer, there are countless places to go tubing and river rafting.

San Antonio is an incredible city with plenty to offer anyone interested in city living. Its currently a buyer’s market, and downtown real estate is only going to appreciate. Many new buyers are choosing downtown San Antonio condos because of the convenient features of this city. San Antonio’s continued dedication to improving the downtown area is resulting in a significant growth in residential population downtown.

Find Out More About Costa Rica Condos

January 19, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

Have you ever dreamed of living in a tropical paradise where, as the song says, “the weather is fine and the life is easy?” For many people, Costa Rica appears to be that place and Costa Rica condos are their natural target. Maybe, along with 1.More than 5 million North American and European tourists a year have had the chance to enjoy the beaches, surfing, big game fishing, mountains, volcanoes, rivers and tropical forests of this beautiful country. Situated between the sandy beaches on its Pacific and Caribbean coasts, Costa Rica also boasts numerous national parks and reserves throughout the country where protected bird, mammal, and reptile species live in Eden-like environments that bring tourists back again and again.

As a result, Costa Rica real estate is a popular item for investors, especially condos as rental properties and/or for personal use, with eventual re-sale or conversion to a full time retirement home. However, maybe you are ready to retire now and take advantage of Costa Rica’s low cost of living, temperate tropical weather, and possess a marvelous home for children, grandchildren, and old friends to visit.

If you come to Costa Rica, chances are that you will land at Juan Santamaria International Airport outside the capital city of San Jose on the central plateau and nearly equidistant from the Pacific and Caribbean coasts. Well known for its surf, rain forests, and Tortuguero National Park, Puerto Limon is about 75 miles east of the Caribbean coast. The old coffee-shipping port of Puntarenas on Golfo di Nicoya and the Pacific coast lies 90 km (56 mi) to the west.
You can stop at Puntarenas or veer off to the Pan-American Highway and go northeast to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve for some of the most incredible views in the world, but a guided Canopy Tour through the rainforest is an absolute must. On the other hand, you can go northwest to the national parks near Liberia, or the beaches Tamarindo and Coco on the Gulfo di Papagayo, known for its year-round deep-sea fishing.

If you head south, you can follow the oddly shaped province of Puntarenas (”Sands Point” in Spanish) stretching along the Pacific coast to the Panamanian border. Along the way are the beaches of Jaco and Manuel Antonio National Park, the smallest but among the most popular national parks in the country. In this park, visitors can travel paths leading from idyllic beaches to rainforest and mountain terrains.
Continuing south to Rincon and Puerto Juarez on Gulfo Dolce, you can find the richness of dense green jungle at the Corcovado National Park standing as an unspoiled showcase of tropical nature. Believe it or not, these are only a fraction of Costa Rica’s attractions that full or part time residents can enjoy year round.

All these towns and surrounding areas boast Costa Rica condos for sale at prices that, compared with the Northeastern and Pacific coasts of the United States, can be a bargain. In fact, around San Jose and its relatively low cost-of-living, the housing costs in a typical middle-class suburban neighborhood are substantially less than similar housing in the U.S or even Canada. Besides condos in Costa Rica, the country offers other real estate investments such as time-shares, single-family homes, and even working farms. Though they are not the most expensive approach, condos in Costa Rica are likely the best investment and/or retirement realty.

With the country so small, you can live in San Jose or its suburbs and enjoy the amenities and culture of a modern city and visit the attractions of the rest of the country. In the suburbs of San Jose, ,000 or less can buy a very nice condo. However, if you opt for Costa Rica beachfront property or a mountain retreat, these properties are still available for much less than similar, choice properties in North America. Coastal properties often cost less than 0,000 and Costa Rica beachfront property will start under 0,000.
Residency requirement have relaxed restriction with minimal proof of income and the status cards are easily renewable every two years. Costa Rica does not tax foreign residents on income earned outside of the country and most importantly the Costa Ricans, or Ticos, are friendly and welcoming to foreigners.

Top Home Selling Tips For Desperate Home Owners

January 17, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

Are you questioning, “How can I sell my house for the best price?”? There are many factors that can cause one to sell their property. It could be relocation due to a job transfer or it could be brought on by several other personal reasons. If you are to put your home in the hands of estate agents you will find that most estate agents are too busy trying to sell an endlessly increasing number of properties which are under their belt. This means, your home will just be put in the queue and if you wanted to sell it fast you may find yourself sorely disappointed.

Well how then do you sell a property and get the best value from it in the shortest time possible? Keep in mind, even if you do manage to sell a house for more but it takes you a very long time to do it, it may not be worth the wait as very often time really is money. The best thing that you can do if you want to sell your property fast is to go online and search for the most reputable and professional home buying companies in your area.

If you are in South Africa and you search online for professional companies that can buy your home you will definitely come across the following site: http://easy-home-sales.co.za. This company will make sure that all your property selling needs are catered for professionally and each case is dealt with individually.

Now when your search engine displays you with a list of the top ten professional property buyers in your area the next step is to get a bit more info on some of these companies. You will be able to get more information on some of these companies from reviews from some of the company’s clients as well as a customer care consultant. A good property buying company will ensure that all persons who want to sell a property are well looked after and are given all the necessary information without needing to dig for it.

Professional companies will ensure that your property sale is carried out with urgency so you can use the money for whatever purpose you intended to use it for. If you were selling the home because of personal pressing issues they will make sure they do not add any further stress on you. Another thing that is comforting is that they will not charge you any commission for their service. The agents are so focused on your needs and wants that they offer impartial advice that is objective and covers all you need to know about selling property. Most of the estate agents will give you free advice.

The most important things you have to always remember are that you should not allow your home buyer to take advantage of the fact that you want to get money from selling your property in order to solve your personal problems. Do not show that you are desperate. For if you ever show your desperation, you will be forced to sell your property for a very low value which is way below its market value. So the next time you are in a position to sell property, make sure you do so with a professional home buying company who will ensure you get a fair deal for your property.
